Not being able to take it any longer, Chris reached out and grabbed Jonny's hand. Jonny was a bit startled at first, but he accepted the gesture and reestablished his grip on Chris's hand.
"I've liked you for a really long time, Chris," Jonny said. "I was just... too afraid to ask..."
"I know, I was afraid, too. But... I'm glad you asked."
Jonny smiled and laughed a little. "I'm glad you said yes."
"Of course," Chris cheerfully replied. "For you I would always say yes."
